At La Strada Ristorante, Randolph, the Chester Lions Club recently installed its new slate of officers that will carry on the traditions of Lionism. This year Casper J. Meijer, a long standing member, was installed as the new president of the Chester Lions Club.
A resident of Long Valley, Casper plans to continue the credo of Lionism, to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding. He pledges to live by the Lions Slogan, “We Serve”.
Casper is joined on the executive committee by Secretary Richard Lucy, Treasurer Ron Minardi, and three Vice-Presidents. During the ceremony, the Chester Lions Club also inducted new member Judy Irwin. The Lions in attendance roared with approval for the new member and officers. Overseeing the clubs major activity, Casper, Richard, Ron and the full executive committee will take part in the Chester Lions Clubs Oktoberfest. The event, which will take place on September 23rd and 24th this year at Chubb Park in Chester, will be the 19th installment of a very successful fundraiser. Monies raised will be distributed to local, national and international charities.
