A weekend of fun and enjoyment is being planned by the Chester Lions Club.The annual Chester Lions Club Oktoberfest, our 21st, will take place at Chubb Park on September 28thand 29th. Two days of family frivolity. Among the many activities offered will be a spirited German band that will perform throughout the two day event.Dance music and gay tunes will fill the air. Entertaining melodies will be heard under our large circus tent. One of the most anticipated aspects of the Oktoberfest are the Classic Cars. Automobiles of every stripe willbe presented, from the iconic VW to the sleek BMW. Elegant cars, presented by antique enthusiasts will bedisplayed. Bring your camera. The term “Family Day” is not an exaggeration. Rides and games of all types will bring delight to every child. Bouncers, slides, climbing walls, obstacle course as well as spin art and sand art, activities available for every age group. Best of all, the food and drink tent will house extraordinary food for everyone. German fair that will quell the largest hunger. Bratwurst, Smoked Pork Chops, German Potato Salad, Ice Cream, Funnel Cakes, BeehiveCake, Strudel and much more, no one will go hungry. The Oktoberfest has been known for its selection of Beers and this year we will offer several Brews exclusivelyavailable at our Chester Lions Club celebration. The Chester Lions Club Oktoberfest will take place on September 28th and 29th at Chubb Park, 1 mile west of the junction of Route 24 and 206 in Chester, NJ. Entry is $7.00 for adults, children under 12 are free. Parking isalso free. Gates open at noon. Buses are welcome.
