Chester Lions Recognized by Lions International

award at 2013 conference2

The Chester Lions Club received a Certificate of Appreciation at this year’s New Jersey Lions State Convention. The certificate, which was presented by Lions International President Wayne Madden (left) and New Jersey Lions District Governor Joe Kika (right) to Chester Lion Rich Lucy (center), was given “in appreciation of generosity and dedication to furthering the objectives of the Lions Clubs International Foundation” after they learned of a $25,000 gift that the club sent to an organization that is working directly with victims of Sandy to rebuild their homes.

The certificate expressed gratitude for the club’s “involvement in projects that create a better life for people everywhere”.
